Akram has no place to call home, he lives on the pavements around Sandhurst Road. Under a cramped tarpaulin sheet, he shares the space with his mother, grandmother and two younger siblings. The mother works as a garbage collector struggling to make ends meet, while the grandmother works as a maid in the locality.
Akram is an intelligent kid, who has gift for mathematics and numbers. He enjoys working with numbers for hours on end. He is a bubbly and a chirpy kid who enjoys interacting with people. Akram has big dreams of becoming a police officer one day and living in a proper home with his family.
