Deepti is 7 years old, and lives in Naigaon, Dadar with her mother and older sister. Her mother, Trupti Kamble, is a single parent who works two jobs to run the household. Married at the age of 14 to a man more than twice her age, she found herself and her two daughters deserted after the birth of her second child. Not knowing the whereabouts of her husband and without having a family system to rely on, she has long been working more than 12 hours a day to fend for her daughters’ education. Trupti’s monthly income is INR 14500, and her entire income is locked into paying for housing, maintenance and survival necessities. She seeks support for the education, upbringing and well-being of her two children. As a committed mother, she has enrolled Deepti into the Happy Kids Program in the year 2024. Deepti is to begin her residential schooling journey at Viraj Shriram Centennial High School, Boisar in Grade
