Dhruv Govekar

Dhruv lives with his mother and grandmother. His mother is a divorcee (husband deserted her after 7 months of marriage, when she was pregnant). It was a love marriage that had taken place in a temple (husband's family were against this relationship), so after he deserted her there is no clue about his whereabouts and no support from inlaws. Dhruv’s maternal grandmother is a cancer patient. His mother is an artisan and is mostly out to earn their livelihood and hence there is a pressing need for the support of residential schooling. Dhruv is in Marathi medium school and is being coached intensively to transition into English medium school. He has been enrolled in Viraj Shri Ram Centennial School in Boisar, through the Happy kids program.
