Geeta Alam Shaikh (2008) used to be a street child, living with her single mother and her two siblings near the passenger hall of Mumbai Central Station, which is not safe for younger girl child. Her mum doesn't know Hindi and do’s odd jobs. Her mother got remarried and the stepfather looking after children. Since Geeta joined Community Outreach Program (CORP) and started to attend a Marathi medium school, her learning ability dramatically improved, effectively and quickly learning to write and read in Hindi, basic English and Maths. She loves dance and singing. She was referred to Ra Foundation by CORP in 2017 and enrolled in a Sweet Memories High School. Geeta has scored 74% in her 10th grade and is now enrolled in SNDT College for Home Science.
