Karan Jagdhane lost both his parents at a young age. His elder brother was unemployed and spent his time on the streets. His younger sister settled in an ashram and pursued her education from there. Karan lived in a tarpaulin shack by the roadside with his alcohol-addicted maternal grandmother. So, he moved to live with his aunt and her five daughters. He spent his days working on household chores and taking care of his cousins. Thus, the Bal Jeevan foundation enrolled Karan in a municipal school. To provide quality education and supervision, the Ra Foundation, through the Happy Kids Program, enrolled Karan in 8th grade in Silverdale High School, Panchgani. The school helped him hone his academic, sports, organization, and management skills. Karan is currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management from Rizvi College and is in his second year.
