Kushal Devrukar

Khusal has been referred to Ra Foundation by a Partner organization.  Khusal and his family live in the broken shanty in the slums of Mumbai. Khusal, his older sister, and mother live here. The mother single handedly struggles to provide for the family, she works as a domestic help in the vicinity and works long hours. The accommodation that they live in belongs to their late father, however due to family feud they have been facing constant threats to vacate the space. This is the only space that they have currently and hence are not able to vacate or afford another one place. The constant fights and continuous fear of losing their home has created a sense of anxiety in both the children. The sole aim of both the kids is to receive a good education get well-paying jobs and buy a safe home for them and their mother. The community that they live in is surrounded by lot of unemployed youth, drunkards, and gamblers.
