Pratha, 6 y/o, is a daughter of a single mother. As a woman whose husband divorced her because he did not want a daughter, Pratha’s mother, Bhavesha moved back with her parents who currently help her in raising her. Pratha is unaware of her father since he is completely absent from their lives after divorce. But since they live in each other’s vicinity, Bhavesha wishes for Pratha to be away from the community for her well-being and future. Due to the volatility of their family’s circumstances and the impending remarriage of Pratha’s mother, the guardianship of Pratha will ultimately rest on her elderly grandparents, hence making their support system fragile and insecure. Pratha is set to join the Happy Kids Program in 2024 at Viraj Shriram Centennial High School, Boisar in Grade 1.
