Samarth Khatate

Samarth’s father left the family eight months after he was born. He went to the village and remarried. Samarth lives with his mother and elder sister. His mother has health issues, however takes various odd jobs to support the family. His elder sister works part-time to support herself and the family. The family resides at the maternal place, which is a joint ownership. It is a distressing situation in the household which is affecting Samarth. The home and community environment is unsafe due to constant conflicts and stress which Samarth is exposed to. Samarth is a curious boy who has the potential to study and do well. He is enrolled in Viraj Shri Ram Centenial School in Boisar, through the Happy kids program.
